Leaving Cowl

wpid-wp-1442755878849I have just finished this cowl, pattern can be found of Ravelry for free. It was fun to knit and I really like the yarn, even though it’s a bit itchy. I’m thinking about lining it with some fabric, but I haven’t figured out what kind of fabric that is the best. There’s still some yarn left so I think I’m going make a couple of wrist warmers as well.

I really like(d) the fur-yarn.. “it’s aaaalive” 😉

2014-11-04Thank you all for coming 🙂 If you want to bake the chocolate cake, the recipe can be found on igottsallskap.com (soon) it was actually a simple “one bowl cake”.

Yarn-trip to Helsingborg

IMG_9508

Today we went to Helsingborg to buy yarn, but we started of with “fika” at Ebba’s café, because who doesn’t need coffee/tea in the morning 😉

IMG_9512-001

I think we came to the conclusion that the cakes were ok ( it could have been better).. good thing was that you could choose between A LOT of different cakes, cheesecakes, cookies etc.

Then we went to a tea/coffee shop before we went to Tant Thea which was the yarn store we really wanted to go to. Unfortunately it had moved, and what it seemed like, gotten a smaller assortment. I really wanted to buy grey sock yarn, but good thing is you can order online..right?

After a visit to a small chocolate store and a really nice toy store we actually went back to the café and had reeeeeeaaaallly nice burgers (this was probably the best part of the trip) hehe!

IMG_9525-001

The weather was really nice and (if you ask me) was in really good company. I can guess we can call that a good day, can’t we? 🙂

Hell Bent on Copenhagen

IMG_8876

Today was a really good day, and if you wonder why it’s because we had a lot of fun in Copenhagen. Ferckinclerser had planned everything of beforehand and we even had maps where yarn stores and cafes were marked out. Zeta and Bonnie met up in Copenhagen.

2014-07-12

At first we went to La Glace to have CAKE and coffee/tea. Cake to die for.

IMG_8877

Then we went to Sommerfuglen to look at some yarn, and to buy some too.

IMG_8892

We had lunch at Torvehallerne, Smørrebrød and pizza 🙂

IMG_8893

Of course we also went to Uldstedet.

IMG_8891

..and who can say no to ice cream? They were gigantic! We all ordered “small” ones.

It might be so that we have to go on a yarn trip again! It was especially fun that Zeta and Bonnie could come. (And thanks again for all the planning you did Ferckinclerser)

Finally time for knitting

IMG_7711It was a while since we updated the blog so here comes a post from tonight’s knit night 🙂 As usually it seems like I take pictures of everything else than yarn and needles 😉  But I guess you can see from the pictures that we had cinnamon rolls and tea AND..

IMG_7710..Kinder eggs 😀 Desirée brought some Kinder eggs and I guess we all can admit that it was fun to open them. Thank you!

IMG_7718A very colorful pticture to end with, because color makes you happy, right? See you all soon!

Beware the wind

DSC_0400

I just wanted to share a funny story which might be something to think keep in mind if you like to knit outside. I was sitting on the balcony the other day knitting, when a gust of wind blew the yarn away.. 5 floors down into the garden. Next time I’ll put the skein in a bag or maybe watch it more carefully  😉 Do you have a funny story involving needles and yarn?
