Knitting the Hat

IMG_2539Yes, this is the hat with a capital H. And we’re going to knit one each. Or, it’s not a hat yet, but soon. I bought my yarn at Sländan in Lund. I have kind of a bad habit of always buying yarn in either grey, pink or blue. Guess no one noticed, does this count as purple? 😉IMG_2540This is the chart for the text. The pattern can be found on Ravelry and is free. If you for some reason don’t have a login on Ravelry and you like knitting. Get one 😉 You won’t regret it. hat-hat-4_medium2This is what it’ll look like when it’s finished. And then you can picture all of us wearing the same kind of hat, lol!

Do want to join the knit-along? Usually we meet somewhere in Malmö once a week to knit, chat and drink tea. If you want to come, just fill in the form on top of the page and you will receive more information.

These hats were really fun to make. They’re both knitted in Karisma (from Drops), I can really recommend the yarn, because it’s easy and fun to knit with.

I found the pattern on the blog Maria Callander, but changed the decrease technique when I made the bigger one. I don’t know why, but it seems like hats with a certain decrease technique won’t just fit on my head lol! I don’t know if it was a good way of doing it, but I divided the stitches in four, and put a marker between them. Then I ssk on one side of the marker and k2tog on the other side of it, every other row.  Anyways, it kind of worked 😉
