Which patterns are in your forever queues?

Hell Bent on Babies, part I

It all started with a post in our facebook-group which announced; ”Ideas for baby knitting – GO!”.

A few hours later we had a long thread with useful tips and lovely pattern-suggestions. Here they come so they get to meet the rest of the internetz…

Things we actually found useful

– cardigans for newborns up to about 6-7 months or so
– sweaters from about 7 months onwards
– sleep sacks, because putting on pants takes up way too much time in the beginning
– hats with ties or balaclavas

Specific patterns are:

baby2
Rosett
This cardi is amazing, I made the 1year size, and he was able to wear it at about 5 months, and it still fits comfortably now (1 year old).

baby3
Sleep sack
Easy sleep sack pattern, I added a draw string around the waist.

baby4
Pixie-hat
Great hat if you wear the baby

baby5
Vertabrae
Great cardi!

baby6
Coat extension
Coat extension for babywearing in cold weather

baby1
Blanket
This blanket have been used every day for almost two years. It might not look that special but the good thing is that it is elastic, thin and large. Its very useful!

baby7
Booties
These booties were very appreciated since I placed a drawstring around the ancle. Pretty much the only footwear that the baby didn’t manage to kick off…

Finally time for knitting

IMG_7711It was a while since we updated the blog so here comes a post from tonight’s knit night 🙂 As usually it seems like I take pictures of everything else than yarn and needles 😉  But I guess you can see from the pictures that we had cinnamon rolls and tea AND..

IMG_7710..Kinder eggs 😀 Desirée brought some Kinder eggs and I guess we all can admit that it was fun to open them. Thank you!

IMG_7718A very colorful pticture to end with, because color makes you happy, right? See you all soon!
